So.. I have an Intel Centrino 6200AGN wireless card in my laptop and a D-Link Dir615 N router. However, when connecting my notebook with my router, I am only receiving 54Mbps speeds instead of 300Mbps. My laptop receives a 94% signal, so I don't think that it's the signal strength. I set my router to broadcast N signals but I still get only G speeds. Although when I look at the signal type with Windows, it displays it as "N." It's weird shows the signal as N but gives a 54Mbps signal.
Do you guys have a solution to this?

Where is the signal displaying N, exactly? It is very likely that if you are only getting 54Mbps, then your router network mode is set to G only. Can you look at your router and wireless card settings and let us know what they are?

Also, in your wireless card properties, make sure you are set to WPA2/AES. You won't get the fastest speeds possible, at all, unless this is done.

Do you have any other G only devices on your network? Router will revert to G only if that is the case. If that is the case, try setting your router to N only and see if that improves your laptop speed. If it does, you will have to decide what you want, or get a simultaneous dual band router.

Also, on the wireless connection status screenshot you showed, click on the wireless properties button, and make sure your WPA/AES security settings in there are set correctly.

    40M is faster than 20M.

That worked, thanks. I'm now getting 130Mbps.

i see that you have Channel Width set to 20 MHz. Set it to 40Mhz or Auto and see if you could get higher then 130Mbps. When my dir 655 is set to Auto I get 300Mbps on my intel 5300. When its set to 20 MHz I get about 130.

I have been following this thread , I have an N card and N router , and when i bought the router i was getting 270-300mbps connection , but for some reason it dropped to 100-144mbps , I have been fiddeling with the setting on the card and router for over a week, changed drivers reset router to default setting, with no result , but since changing from 20mhz to auto/20/40 mhz on the router and in device manger, i am now getting 270-300mbps :)
