Hi, I'm using a 4965AGN with an Airport Extreme Router.

I can only connect to my Network at 65 Mbps, with a wireless-g connection.

I have tried configuring the AE with wireless-n network only which does not show improvement, and configuring the AE with wireless-n (5Ghz) which shows my connection as 802.11a!!!

Can anyone help with the configuration so that I can connect with a 200Mbps + connection?

    Thanks

mho .... you just wasted a bunch of money

wireless n (right now) is junk.

and when it's finished.. what you have now... probably will work even less.

i haven't personally used the AE, but from what I've read and heard, they are an excellent router.

there are so many settings that can affect the speed- security settings-wpa2, for example, channel, power, mode, etc.. the biggest problem always seems to b the security settings, often when using wep, your speed is terrible, but sometimes it improves it.

post a little more about your router settings and we will try and help you out!!!!!!!!!

Of the dual bands the AE test the best. Make sure you have the latest drivers on both NB and AE.

For 11n you need to run WPA2 AES security.
