I have realized a curious byproduct of my 3G USB Modem- heat!

When I plug it in, my video card shoots up about 3-4C and my CPU goes up 6-7C or so.

Is this normal? Is there anything I could do to stop this from happening?

    Thanks!

Oh by the way, it's a Huawei built modem packaged by Vodafone.

Nope. I have my keyboard and ipod connected to it. My mouse is running off a USB port on the keyboard....

I tried plugging it into different USB ports, made no difference....
