Occasionally, my wireless card is deactivated when windows starts up. I have to press the wlan button to get it to come back on. This occurs when windows shuts down with it enabled so it is unusual to me. I'm using the newest intel drivers with intel software. Windows managing wireless has even more issues so I don't use it.

It usually seems to happen when unplugged and disconnected from battery for a brief period (i think the laptop knows i'm doing this because there is a delayed response to power up after pressing the power button). The only thing is it doesn't do this every time.

Any info on this would be great.

Nevermind. It has something to do with the computer being disconnected from batter and ac power at the same time. I'm consulting rick at istnc for more info.

Any kn1 owners want to help me out? Disconnect your computer from ac and battery power, turn on, and then restart. See if the computer starts up with wlan disabled. It should come on if you press the button. Still waiting for rick to get back to me so this would be greatly appreciated.
