So i just got my dell 1505 today, T2300, 1 gig, 40gig hd, x1400 HM, WME, and basic dell network. I tired to connect to me wireless linksys network but it saids limited or no activity. i plug in ethernet cable and it doesn't connect or anything, i've tried restarting, and reseting modem and router, but no connection still. Any ideas?

How is your network set up?
    Is it WEP encrypted?
    Did you broadcast your SSID?

I do not broadcast my SSID.
I created a profile with my SSID and put in the password.

The setup will depend upon what wireless card you have but the concept is the same.

yes it is WEP encrypted, and it is SSID broadcast. I have the dell wireless 1390 802.11 b/g minicard that came basic with e1505. MY wireless channel is set at 2.432GHz, do i need to change that? any suggestions?

when connecting via ethernet, make sure you're not on battery or have the card set to operate while on battery.

see if you can connect first wired
