    108 Mbps Router vs 54 Mbps Router for games

    How better is 108 Mbps router for on-line games?

    Not better at all. Because your internet connection is considerably slower than 54Mbps, even than 11Mbps, so it cannot even utilize old 802.11b routers fully.

    The only way it could even potentially influence speed is if you were playing a game over LAN. Although, I'm fairly sure you never will need anything near even 54 Mbps for most games!

    Just get a regular 802.11G 54Mbps router. Linksys has nice ones.

    Wouldn't the 108Mbps send out a stronger signal. With my 54Mbps, i get a latency of >=100.

    It wouldn't matter if you had the 54 or the 108Mbps router, because your internet connection speed would never be that high.

    The only use I can see for a 108Mbps router would be if you were moving huge files or a hard drive between comptuers.

    Or you have 10 computers hooked up to a network. And there sharing the internet and files all at once.
