Anyone have any experience with .NET framework issues? My error reads as follow, unhandled exception has occured in your application. In the details it states that I need to enable Just-In-Time Debugging and that it is not set in the system.windows.forms jitDebugging = "true".

I am unable to load web pages in any browser and when i type anything in it just keeps the "new tab" section blank and nothing comes up at all. The error also pops up when i go to restart or shutdown the computer. I can't seem to find any answers or how to access the values to make JIT debugging true.

    Thanks!

.NET framework is not needed for Internet access in the first place so it would make no difference at all if it's working correctly or not or even if it's installed or not.

The only thing that comes to mind is that some security application - either a firewall or an antivirus that you have installed requires .NET framework to work and since .NET is working properly, the apps interface isn't either hence issues with access.

What AV and firewall do you use? Did you try uninstalling those and .NET completely for testing?

I was using AVG and uninstalled it for testing purposes. As for a firewall I just have the windows one running for now seeing as AVG is gone. It did not make a difference and the internet is still not working.
I am not sure how else to trouble shoot it at this point because I thought that was my problem as well. Thanks!

Uninstal Microsoft .Net Framework and see if it helps. Then try a fresh install of .NET Framework from MS.

I gave that a shot and had the same results as well. I also ran a malware scan cleaned up some stuff and still no luck.

What browser did you try? I understand that Internet connectivity is fine apart from browsers?
What is the OS you're using?

Check what happens is you reboot your system in safe mode with network.

I've tried IE, Mozilla, and Chrome with no luck. I tried booting in safe mode with networking with no luck either. I will try it again once I get home later as well but I'm pretty sure it did not solve the issue.
    Thanks for your help

I attempted the repair tool before reinstalling .NET framework with no luck either. Really puzzled and wondering if there is a virus or something else there.

May be time for a Fresh Clean installation of your operating system.

    Windows 7 ISOs:

    Windows 8.1:

Have you tried running the following command from an administrator command prompt to check for file system errors

    sfc /scannow

Or boot from a linux CD and verify it's not a hardware failure?

doesn't sound like hardware but no harm in trying.

For me,the time wasted looking for the cause is almost always more than for me to do a clean install from a usb flash drive created from a clean untouched ISO.
