I recently bought a computer which has the Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g wifi adapter. I was looking for networks when i saw one that was 802.11n for radio type. The network was secure as it wanted password.
    1. Is this the new N network it was showing?
    2. Will this particular adapter in computer connect to the N network?
    Thanks for any help..

    1. Yeah, this might be 802.11n, which is becoming a bit more widespread.

    2. It is possible you saw a network that is running in "mixed mode" or a mode in which the router broadcasts g and n signals. Your card cannot connect using the N protocols, so it isn't like you would see a speed improvement, but you could connect to the network itself, provided it had "mixed mode" active.
