It would be nice to have a picture or at least the model name and number for the current wireless card, so that we can assist you. Even a Device ID can be handy.

Right so basically a Mini PCIe card (HMC).

So 2 issues seems to arise from this.

    1) Does HP still use Whitelists (Which will block WiFi upgrades)

    2) Finding a WiFi 6 card in HMC format. (Else you will need a NGFF m.2 to Mini PCI-e adaptor)

I have found one which seems to be a BGA AX200 mounted to a HMC PCB.

    So that makes it easier.

Look for a Intel AX200NGW this is an AX Wifi card that will work in there so long there is no whitelist issues.

Check your bios - you ma need to enable it there. You may need to check on the HP laptop forum to see if others have used this card. HP had a history of only "whitelisting" certain cards in the bios, and one could not install other cards. It would be very shortsighted of them not to whitelist such a common, high quality card as the Intel, but it is not impossible. Let us know what happens.

So, I enabled the wifi card in the bios like this in pic https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Lt3MS5HVgvqMST7x-aq6l0royBg2ZHVP/view?usp=drivesdk
After that i restarted still didn't not see it in device manager
So, i downloaded the drivers for it from intel's website and installed them and yet it did not show up
After that i went to device manager and added it as a legacy hardware and got this error
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ML8uKWkPIFJDwCmrwWkrF4pgmMcDgQP0/view?usp=drivesdk
And after it i did not know what else to do so i came to tell you everything hoping you would help and thanks in advance

Did you get the NGW version of the card? As there are two versions of the same card one is for systems without CVNI (For systems without CVNI support like yours) then theres one with CVNI which wouldn't work on your system.

You enabled network adapter boot in the bios - you shouldn't need to do that. I would check to be sure you have the most recent bios for your laptop (HP site). Most recent drivers for that wifi card are 22.40.0.7 (3/3/21). You could get those from the Intel site. You may just need to uninstall, delete drivers, reboot, and reinstall. You may be close to success.

I have it on the latest version.

I figured that the card is just not detected in the system these are just the drivers installed

So is it whitelist thing?? [IMG] [IMG]

It should work, are you able to test the card in another system?

Try taping the inner pin on the E slice see if that helps.

Do you have another laptop or system yo test the new card in to insure its a working card.

If not it looks like WiFi 5 is as far as you can go, although technically it should work.
