I bought a pair of powerline adapters.
One's connected to the router in the living room.
The other's connected to the laptop in the study.
Both are plugged directly into the wall.

For the first day, they worked flawlessly.
I went to bed, then the next day, it no longer worked.
Nothing new was plugged into any outlet during that day.
I used their diagnostic tool and they're not even seeing each other in the network.

However, when I plug them into the same outlet pair in the living room, it works.

What's the problem I may be encountering?
