    Hello everybody.

Got a question relating wireless internet, I'm pretty good with computers but regarding 'networking' I'm a total noob.

So, I want a wireless router for in a single room (sort of student dorm).. So range isn't a big deal.
The only thing available as a connection is one single utp cable that is comming from a switch.

The wireless router should be able to connect to one computer and 3-4 wireless connections at a time.
One more requirement: I should be able to connect an external hdd trough usb to the wireless router so it can function as a sort of nas.

It doesn't has to have thé best performance, but should have the requirements listed above.
I'm totally not aware of what is good nowadays and what not.
Price class should be lower than 80€ (or 100$)

If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards, Laurent.

If USB speed of 5-7MB/s is acceptable than Tp-Link TL-WR1043ND should so the trick. See sticky for a short description of the router prepared by yours truly.

Apple airport express? Might be slightly out of budget but its relatively simple to use compared to other routers. Might want to check if you can 'create a wireless network' in your dorm, most likely some clause telling you not to. Just make sure you hide the SSID ;).

Think I'm gonna go with the Tp-Link. Fits my needs the most and has a pretty good price over here.
Reading a few reviews it seems the configuration isn't that hard so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

    Thanks for the reactions!
