Currently, I only have my latest driver installed without the utilities software Killer Network Manager. The reason I removed it, is because I found out it constantly consume 1-3% of CPU usage background.

I know it is actually a QOS software, but if I do not run any download/upload background only online gaming, does it helps reduce ping?

It does not. As you pointed out the only thing it does it prioritizes your packets ove other you packets.

One interesting thing to note is, the other day a friend of mine was complaining that his internet is kinda slow for what he's used to. So I logged into this PC using TeamViewer and he had the Killer App installed, it sets most apps to priority 4 so we had to go through them one by one and set them to priority 1 to give them the full bandwidth. then when he realized it's a lot of apps that we have to change, he finally gave up and uninstalled the Killer app then installed the latest drivers manually and he's much happier now. In today's age, internet is very fast anyway so setting apps to a lower priority to give others a higher priority is not as great as it sounds back in the day where we had slow internet connections.

Latest Killer Drivers without the Killer app:

    LAN Killer e2400 Driver v9.0.0.42

    WLAN Driver v12.0.0.279/BT v10.0.0.279

    Please stop using TeamViewer already.

https://www.teamviewer.com/en/company/press/statement-on-potential-teamviewer-hackers/ - teamviewer denying hack (either that or they are blind)

    https://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/4m7ay6/teamviewer_has_been_hacked_they_are_denying/ - this should help

It is time to move my friend.

    Sorry for hijacking thread..
