I have a Compaq Presario CQ50-108NR and my computer needed a recovery, but I had accidentally formatted that part of the hard drive. So I used my Vista Ultimate disk and fresh installed it on my laptop. Because of this, I have to reinstall all of my drivers on my Laptop.
So, I went to HP's site for the drivers which was here. My priority is to get my wifi/internet working as soon as possible because I can download the rest of the drivers later. So, I download both the Atheros and Broadcom drivers for my laptop. I've installed both of them, but my Laptop still doesn't detect any wifi spots despite there being plenty around me. Also, I keep getting a notification that windows must now install drivers for hardware, yet it when I click auto detect and folder detect (folder where my drivers are), it says unable to find any. Also, here is my wifi card.
Help please. I'm pretty much lost at this point.

Do you have Vista x64 or x86 (64 or 32 bit)? Did you download and install all of your laptop drivers? If you didn't, you need to install all of the applicable drivers that HP provides for your computer.
-
I have a 32bit Vista. And I'll install all of the drivers right now.
-
I still need very much help with this please.

Run unknown devices and post a screenshot here. I'll link you to a driver that should work.
-
When I run that program, it says that it didn't know mi OS (Vista Ultimate) but guessed correct and found 23 devices but in that white area, it doesn't show anything.
-
In device manager, do you have any unknown devices?
I'll bet you don't.
My guess is your wireless switch is turned off -

Go to http://www.clevo.com
You can find your drivers there. Just be sure to indicate the appropriate info of your drivers and match them with the list of driver installers in the above site.

Let's get some screenshots up in here.

What screenshots would you like??
EDIT:
My problem is fixed now. I did what the guy in this thread said. Thanks for helping though. Apparently the key was QuickLaunch Buttons and then Atheros Driver.
