    Hello

I have been using wireless connection for my Asus W2 laptop with no problems for 3 months now.

But today I encountered my first one. When started the laptop I launched the wireless Intel Pro. The connection is established and the connection signal is labeled as "Exellent" but the "Wireless Connection Status" keeps saying " Limited or no Connection...."

Before this problem appeared, I just switch on the Wireless and the Connection is established immediately....

On the details it says "Invalid IP address"
It is set a automatically assign an Ip address on the settings....

Could anyone help me to identify whats the solution to the problem please...?

Thanks a lot for your help...

    Regards

That could be caused by several things. Possibly your internet provider is down or not getting a connection to your modem.

First I would right click on the computer icon in the taskbar, and do a repair connection. Sometimes my card connects to my router, but can't make the IP connection.

If that doesn't work, then unplug your ethernet cable from your router (the one that goes from the modem to router), and plug it in to your laptop. If your internet is working properly, you should be able to access the internet with a direct connection to your modem. This helps with trying to troubleshoot where the problem is at. If it is working, then we know that there is some problem with the modem connecting to the router or the router itself is having problems.

If you can't access the internet while you are plugged into your modem, then something is either wrong with your internet provider or possibly the cables and modem. You might check your cables and make sure there is no damage to them. Also, you might try doing a hard reset on your modem. Usually there is a button on the back of your router that will reset your modem, or you can unplug your modem for 20 secs and it will reset.

This should give you a starting place at least. If you can post back on whether your connection works when you are directly connected to the modem or not, then we can go from there.

    Hello thanks for your reply,

I have checked all the point you mentioned...

When clicking the repair icon...it keeps saying " Wrong IP address" and no connection is established...

I did unplug and plug the cables from the router and the modem...but still with no success...

The interenet provider doesn t seem to be a problem because I can access interent from the main computer...

    Any other solutions to try...
Thanks for your help....I do appreciate!!
