I just got hands on my new msi 1762 barebone, after installing drivers and stuff i finally decided to run 3D mark 11 ( nvidia driver 314.22 )

im depressed looking at this.. first time i ran 3dmark 11 the score was something like P3600, and temperature was same 96C..

it came with IC diamond which i believe is the best. any suggestions guys? im stucked in a weird situation i can't even send it back to XoticPC, from whom i bought this

i have air conditioner on turbo directly throwing cool air on it and still this?

Change the paste yourself. Even the best paste doesn't mean anything if it hasn't been applied properly or if the heatsink isn't secured fully or properly.

That's most likely why the scores are so low it's throttling the GPU to keep it cool. If you're not comfortable with the repaste then return it and tell them to either paste it themselves and test it or exchange it until you get a good one.

by the way does warranty get void if i repaste, just in case repasting doesn't help

Click the little triangle with the ! in it from your first post and ask to move it to MSI forum. It may take a few hours but it will get moved.

Sorry to hear that Captmario, I hope my PM can help you out. Don't worry you will be up and running in no time after a good repaste :)
