    thats the sku i want- mainly for the bigger display and mechanical kb, but also for the the blu ray slot as well so i can drop in another 2.5"....
    but i dont see it listed for preorder. what gives? is this config not going to be sold ?

    i am still on my gt72 with 980m, so hopefully the 18.4" with 1 1080 will materialize soon so msi can take my money...i am getting old..need bigger display

    You will need to look at the distribution for your country to see what SKU's will be available. For the U.S., you can see which GT83VR models will be available HERE. :)

    I have been looking for the best price and if you want the SLI 1080 but not all the other add-ons (ie 64GB ram, SSDs.....) you can get it from ibuypower for $3699. I find $5K a bit much. Just make sure it has everything else you need.
