hey guys, i was thinking about this last nite, the manual says: P1 Over-clocking (optional) When AC power is connected, touch the P1 touch sensor to raise the over-clocking setting to achieve a higher performance. Touch again to return to normal.

the problem is when set to the power saving mode profile in win7, it doesn't over clock anything. the cpu stays at 800mhz and games run slow and choppy. the vid card doesn't need OCing in my view, not yet anyway.

So i was thinking, is there a program to reassign that key for something else like changing power mode in windows, from power saving to max perf and back when turning it off.

now that would be a good use of the P1 key, is there a way to do that ?

i know about the win+x mobility center, i'm just trying to save on clicks and procedure by instead programming the P1 key to do that.

is there anyway to do that? reassign the key to do that somehow ?

If you click on the battery symbol in the bottom right corner you get power options.

i'm working on a batch file that will basically query the powercfg -getactivescheme, and switch to the other one depending on the response.

now if i can assign that batch file to the P1 key in the s-bar setup i think i can be happy with that.

I just feel it's too much work for something that takes 2 clicks to begin with.
