hi I've got a median x6817 branded ms-16f2 but it only comes with a 1366 by 768 resolution screen and the colours aren't as great as I was hoping for especially coming from a macbook pro.
I was hoping to upgrade it to a full 1080p screen I've already taken the bezel off and found out the current screen is a Samsung LTN156AT05, I just want to know if its possible to install a MSI GT683R screen MICROSTAR MSI GT683R FULL HD LAPTOP LCD SCREENS | MICROSTAR MSI GT683R FULL HD SCREEN REPLACEMENT
they both have 40 pin connectors on the left hand side and seeing as there basically the same laptop will this work?
thanks guys

If the pin connectors are the same, this upgraded screen should work.

You will need a 2 channel lvds cable as well. But then yes it would.

To change from the 1366 x 768 to the 1920 x 1080 FHD you have to change the LVDS cable from the HD to the FHD below:
MS-16F2 FHD LVDS And Camera Cable K19-3031001-V03 -
