    im upgread my cpu i5 430m to i 7 740qm...
    i want to now
    1-740 dont have a gpu like i5 ?
    2-do i need eny update bios?

    Clarksfield CPU's (720qm and above) don't have iGPU.
    If it works, you don't need to update BIOS.

    when 8 cor are runing.... turbo mod its shold be working?
    you now its lock on 1.73....and its not go to 2.93 when 8 clock are running at 100% use

    The amount of cores does not affect whether the CPU supports Turbo Boost or not. If the processor architecture supports it/it's inclusive, then it should be working, yes. :)

    And the 720qm DOES support Turbo Boost: ARK | IntelĀ® Core

    But they were notorious for only turboing a small amount in the original core i series CPUs.
