    Hello,

I will be getting a msi 1651-ID2 customized from xotic in the next few weeks. I ordered it without the intel turbo memory. This should leave one empty mini pci-e slot. Can I put a mini pci-e ssd (something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227437 ) in that empty slot and use it as a boot drive/and or applications drive? I will be getting vista business 64-bit with win 7 pro coupon.

Unfortunately not. Netbooks have a sata controller attached to their mini pci-e slots, something that notebooks do not. Will be possible later this year using Samsung's mini pci-e SSD (with sata controller). Or consider doing a SSD + HDD setup using the optical drive bay as linked in my sig.
