No icon in the desktop notification area? Have you tried installing the latest synaptics software?

    Why start a new thread when there's a GX60 Owner's Lounge?

Yes, that would be it. You didn't have configuration options for sensitivity in the control panel, under the mouse settings? The Synaptics utility will probably give you better control over it, even if so.

all i want to do is turn the clicker off on the actual touchpad cause it opens up and drags round whenever i touch the touchpad, its driving me crazy.

Here's a link to a new Synaptics Touch pad driver v16.3.1.2

    Synaptics drivers

Unpack the 7z file to a new folder on the desktop.Read the readme file.

Right click on the red Synaptics exe file and run as adminisrator.

After it's installed and you reboot click on the little white triangle down by the clock and find the Syaptics icon.

    Click on it>properties>Device Settings.

In device settings you can disable or enable the touchpad.

    Also open C :program Files>Synaptics

    View as Tiles.

You can always adjust the speed of the cursor and it's acceleration in your Control Panel too, for future reference (I'm not sure if that's exactly what you wanted):

No, how bad is the buzzing? It's probably not a problem; probably just vibration from the fan(s) when applying pressure. Is the laptop on an even surface?
