    reset bios notebook MSI ER710

    It must to reset bios on MSI ER710.

    What it happen: i want to growing up video memory on bios (up to 1024 :rolleyes: ). on next power i view a big BLACK SCREEN with an orange power on led (proper).


    if you have any picture or link about this... is more easily.

    Don't know if this will solve the problem, but here is a link to the MSI webpage with a BIOS download for the ER710. Hope that helps...

    thanks. but ... no way.
    i can't view anything on screen.
    win is not loading, notebook is stop in POST routine (by sound of hdd).

    but... it's interesting ideea... if i can to make un update to bios, it loads... default value.
    will try... on blind... but i have a fear.

    Remove the battery and a/c for 30 min, this will reset all to defaults.

    sorry. it's not good ideea. the desktop have the little lithium battery to reset cmos and for this model of notebook i don't see like that connect to the motherboard (on wire or incorporate)

    problem have 5 day and first thing is to disassemble in small piece to find any source of power for cmos. i don't view, but i have left one little screw on his place. it must to let it on his place.
    every day i connect the power and try another think.

    for another notebook i see unusual method to reset the bios: press down the power button for 30-60sec, usb short circuit, motherboard short circuit etc.

    i want to know what is the proper method to reset bios for this type of notebook (if is possible).

    someone give me one opinion: find the bios chip and short circuit to the exactly pine to reset the data.

    what did you say?

    NEVER short circuit any part of a notebook. You'll probably brick it permanently, and since you did it yourself there will be NO warranty support.
