I have not got this notebook yet but I heard it runs pretty hot, it's in the mail as we speak.

So I'm probably going to need a cooling pad. I almost always have my notebook on my bed or in my lap so thats a big factor.

like right now i have my leg propped up with my notebook on my thigh.

    any recommendations?

Zalman NC2000 or a CYRO NZXT I thinks thats the name.. They both are very good for cooling..

I agree, but if its on your leg and bed alot of the time, the fan will contract dirt (if its open underneath) But it shouldnt run too hot as far as im aware of, the 3850 wont but the amd processor might, not too sure but there may not be any need for a cooler if its brand new :) Just get the cover of an A3 hard book to rest it on.

Thanks so much for the advice guys...I can already tell I am an MSI FanBoy in the making.. :X

I'm SOOOO excited about getting this notebook I couldn't believe how cheap it was ($699 after rebate on newegg for a 3850)

The MSI notebook looks amazing too... I'm just excited on so many levels, the sound, the screen resolution...everything

this will be the most powerful computer i've ever used in my life and it will be at my fingertips in just a few days :D
