hi i have a quick question about the gt627-216! i was wondering if there was anyway to get a 9 cell battery with it, i really dont want to spend 200 bucks extra for the 218 and dont really need the extra features of the 218.

From what I see at Xotic PC a spare 9-cell costs $120 when you buy a 218... so it might be worth just putting in an extra 80$ for the 218...

well i say you spend the extra 200 bucks. a 9 cell battery would cost you about a 150 bucks. if you spend the 200 bucks on the 218 model, you get blu-ray, a faster processor, better screens resolution and the battery which is a steal

thats true... but will the higher resolution screen and faster processor take a major hit on the battery life compared to the gt627-216 w/ 9cell battery?

you can always keep the resolution lower while on battery
and i'm pretty sure the cpu down clocks on battery... Basically I don't think you would get that much of an increase.
