    Dakins got a very valid point here, and we won't be able to help you i dont think because the security of someone else could also potentially be at risk.

    Get in touch with UPEK if you can,

    Sorry, but we just cant help.

    I could tell you how to crack a Windows password, but I'm not sure I want to. For all I know, you could be trying to access a stolen laptop.

    I'll give you the benefit of the doubt anyway. If you can log on as Administrator, then it's pretty easy. Uninstall the fingerprint software and reset your account's password by typing "control userpasswords2" in a command prompt window.

    By the way, Windows has a built-in utility that lets you create a safety file on a USB drive in case you forget your user account password. Even easier: choose a useful password hint. Easiest: write it down on a post-it note and stick it under your desk or someplace.

    I think he's saying that he knows the Windows password because he can log in as admin and it recognizes his fingerprint as well, but the problem is the protection suite v5.8.2 doesnt recognize his password. I suggest to ask support from UPEX?

    @Dakins: that's pretty handy lol

    He needs to enter his account to edit the password for the fingerprint software, but he doesn't remember the password. He can, however, log on using the administrator account (presumably with a blank password). From there, you can do pretty much anything, including changing account passwords and uninstalling security software.

    Thank guys...i understand the point you can't help me. and to bimmerboii thats what really happen... it's all begin when i edit setting to add new fingerprint and then i choose fingerprint + passwrd ( original setting is fingerprint only)... i think the passwrd is the one i use to logon as admin, cause when i apply the new setting they didn't ask me to write the new passwrd... so when i restart the notebook they begin to ask me the passwrd that i don't know.....

    Could you teach me how to reset the passwrd without uninstall the program? and if i uninstall the program should i clean the registry? so when i install again the password will be new one.

    by the way if i logon as the admin i still can"t edit or do something in the software control center cause it's still ask for passwrd for anychange i want to make.
