I've been really wracking my brains about if I should get a Sager or MSI computer for the last month. MSI has a better keyboard and speaker system (and I do use it quite a bit, don't like headphones unless I have to), but you get a much better video card at the $1100 price point with Sager (770 vs 765, 20% speed difference), and you also get a screen upgrade that is more than three times less expensive. I was wondering if anyone who currently owns an MSI machine but previous owned a Sager machine (or currently own both): was it worth switching?

I am one of those who used both Clevo (Sager) and MSI in recent years.

They both have pros and cons and it's hard to compare them. MSI are fancier in general. Clevo works better and slightly cheaper while having a really dull appearance.

To sum it up? It totally depends on what your priorities are.

I think in this instance because of the screen upgrade and GPU upgrade i would have to give the money to Sager.

The way you worded those 2 things sound like they mean the most to you at the end of the day . The sound system is great on the MSI but im not sure i would give up GPU performance nor a better screen just to have better sound.

Also when you break it down you would be giving up a screen and a GPU for the sound system, so giving up 2 things for one or give up one thing for two.
