    The US MSI website no longer lists the s250/260/270, only the 1012 or 1013, whats up with that?

    No, MSI isn't doing the pre-builds (S series) anymore in the States due to their commitment to the Channel (resellers). The 1012 and 1013 are the custom build versions of the S260 and S270. The S250 is no longer sold at all.

    I believe that these are the same, but are sold in the US as the 1012, 13...and so on. For instance, the S425 is sold here as the MS-1022. I'm not positive, but I'm fairly sure about this. You can refer to Goren's post regarding the roadmap of MSI laptops in the "updated 1022" thread. It's a good read, and should provide some insight.

    This could explain why I've been waiting so long to get my MSI delivered. The reseller told me it would take 2 days to get it delivered. Then 2 days later, then said next week. Now this week they are saying next week again.

    did you order a custom build or an S-series?

    The S-series has to come direct from MSI, so you'll wait a few days for MSI to ship, and they may or may not be shipping directly to you, maybe to the reseller first and then to you.

    S-series. Yeah, I know. I'm just complaining. MSI - to - distributor - to - store-where-i-ordered-it ---> to me.

    There are a few S270s left to be sold. Lower end but a good price now.
