Yeah, I just dont like messing with bios updating unless it is really worth it. My unit runs very well so at this point I will not update it, thanks again for sharing the update!!

^^ correct but even with the turbo ec firmware this new bios does not allow any adjustments at all like 1.0s did

yeah anything including or prior to 1.0s had the features. yours is even older than i thought then. i would personally at least go to the 1.0s in your case if you still want the extras

Thanks for the heads up on the bios and the links. Refrained me from losing that extra 5% juice for an updated MRC I do not need.

I know it's been a few months, so that link is to the 1.0Z BIOS. Does this newer BIOS have the features of 1.0S? (Because I know 1.0U and 1.0V lost many options, particularly the 15% or 20% overclock option as per zfactor's experience)

The choice of 15-20% is still no longer available. It is set by default @ 15% for dual core and cannot be changed.

No, the 1.0s is the last GX620/MS-1651 Bios that has all the advanced settings, all the ones after it, including the 1.0z do not.

That's unfortunate... I'd truly appreciate it if someone found a link to the 1.0S. The best I could find was 1.0P, which apparently has the 15%/20% option too?

On the other hand, I bet 1.0Z has some updates that might be more worth it...

one thing to note for those who buy the 620 or 1651 and have the upgrade to win7. if you flash the bios to anything prior to 1.0z you will loose the slic table in the bios to activate win7 oem wise. anything prior have the slic for vista pre installed in the 620 bios but not for win7 so your win7 will go to non activated status after removing 1.0z...

just wanted people to know since they were still asking about 1.0s with the options in it. for 1.0s it will not automatically activate the oem version for you
