    hello everybody
    i have a question ..just to make sure im willing to get a ram for my msi gx740 the us model with i7 processor

    ( for my features :
    Newegg.com - MSI GX740-079US NoteBook Intel Core i7 720QM(1.60GHz) 17.0" Wide SXGA+ 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 )

    i checked Kingston hyper x website and the ram 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 SODIMM (Kit of 2) HyperX Plug n Play is not under my model msi gx740 compatibility list .

    my question does the 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 SODIMM (Kit of 2) HyperX Plug n Play work with msi gx740 i7 processor or not ???

    need help please .

    Your 720QM CPU only supports 1333Mhz memory max, the 1600Mhz memory will work but it will downclock to 1333Mhz.
