So, were all gx620 and 1651's affected by the issue with the newer drivers? (where you get 16bit color and such)
Was this ever "fixed" (more like worked around)

Is this an issue on the GT627?
    Thanks!

No, I think it only happens certain units.
Maybe an artifact of being HOT... ;)
I was going to use another description, but there are plenty of them threads.

Seriously, the little time that i played with the 1722 and tested for this problem for Z
The 1722 did not have it, thinking, maybe for some reason the graphics card is being throttle due to a power delivery issue within the driver & mainboard combo?
Nvidia desktop cards kinda do the same thing if you don't add the extra power to them, they limit res & color depth
I am sure nvidia will address it.

Do you have the power management set to high performance?
    or is is at balanced?
    Have you tried changing them?
Maybe os and nvidia drivers not playing nice now.
This would lead me to think power delivery

    i don't have a laptop xD
I'm just trying to figure this out before i buy, because if it is on most/all GX620 and 1651, i may just not get one of them then

and if what i said confused you before, that is what Zfactor said xD

I am not sure what Z had for a CPU during his tests, was it one of the newer lower 25w varieties or the 35w or greater.
Not that it should matter much, but it could prior to software power management engaging.
    Just a thought.
either way nvidia should address it.
