I wash mine sometimes too, easy way to get all of the dust out.

Is the CPU running hot or the GPU?

i tried but cant really find a program. rm clock doesnt work for it...at least the version i tried. another one was puma control, but that wouldnt keep the volts where i put them. i dont know what to do. when i tried to get the old paste of it wouldnt come off the cpu part of the heat sink so i used a screw driver which kinda scratched it a little, but not bad. maybe i put to little paste on it? the gpu is idleing at 49c cpu 58, without cover on cpu around 50, gpu 42c. underload cover on 78c cpu, gpu 72. cover off cpu 67c gpu 60. BTW i really appreciate you trying to help me lol

ok cool. im gunna try that. Also the fan was vibrating/rattling so i sprayed it with some wd40 which took care of the problem for only about 6 hours. the laptops still under warrenty. could msi send me a new fan? the owner gave me all the registration info. thanks

I don't know about msi warranty, but you should contact them and check.

Your temperatures are good (Y) i think you can get fans from other vendors too (But you'd need to match the model number.) i know someone in this forum knows about it because i've read it somewhere.

thats the same model of my fan too :p

yea unfortunately the forcecon model does not really relate to the mounting... those probably wont fit very well if at all.

like i mentioned elsewhere, tape and rubber bands are always a good option for shockmounting fans

not too sure, but if MSI finds out that you have opened the unit and did something with its heatsink, your warranty might be voided.
