i have 2 different hard drives, one in another laptop of mine, and one ill be using primarily for the 1722, my question, is it possible to create a seperate partition on my back up hard drive where i can load the os and drivers for the ms-1722 so it will work with both computers and i can just swap them out whenever i need to? And if so, how would you do something like this?

    any help is appriciated

    thanks

You can, but it's going to be real complicated. I don't know the procedure, but basically you would create two partitions and install the OS on each one so you can dual boot. You would then have the boot loader give you the option on which one to run when you first turn on your laptop. For instance if it would in your old laptop, it would be the first one on the list to pick and when you swap the drive, you would then pick the second one.
