i arrange that in the touchpad, i have an area that scroll pages.
it works good in web browsers, pdf files, other applications, but in office 2007 the scrolling doesn't work.

i have a driver version of 3.0.2.2 from the year 2005(the year this laptop was bought).
    the touchpad belongs to: elantech.

if anyone know about this problem and how to solve it, i'll be glad :)
    thanks a lot :)

It might be office itself? Try uninstalling/reinstalling. Does it work with a mouse?

    well, it's new office.
    fresh installation :).

i don't know about a regular mouse and the scrolling.

    anyway, it's a known issue.
there is also a problem(and solution) like this in thinkpad laptops(lenovo/ibm).

    thanks :)

    we found a solution.
you don't need the elantech driver.
you need to uninstall it and restart windows.
after that, the driver of windows itself takes charge.
in the properties of this driver there is an option(amongst others) that tell the touchpad to behave like there is a wheel(mouse wheel).
after applying it, the scrolling now working on office 2007 too :).

    thanks :)
