I hardly used this touch pad and the matte finish is coming off in the middle. It's all shiny and worn down, looks like a big grease spot but you cant get rid of it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Is it a big grease spot? ;) I hear very few gripes with the matte finish on any of the MSI units' trackpad over the course of ownership

Actually I'm wrong, the gt60 does not have the same touchpad cover, it is an aluminium brush finish look. I wish the unbranded model had that. Yes, its not grease. Its the matte finish rubbing away. I buffed it with car wax though so now its all that way, doesn't bug me so much lol.

Ah, well buffing it may not have been ideal, but I'm glad you were able to find a workaround. Aesthetics are important, after all!

I got the same "grease spot" on my GT780DX too :p
It doesn't bother me however. Finger movement is smother ;)
And my friend with his gx660 too.
As it seems it's a common issue.
