    hi, i have msi ex620 t5800 hd3470 256mb
    i want to upgrade my vga card, which card will work on it for sure?
    i search all the time in ebay try to find good card for my notebook but i didnt sure what will work on it and i need your help.

    i know that hd3650 will work 100% but is really weak but cheap
    i ask about 9600gt but nobody knows if it will work
    i think maybe hd4670 will work because the msi ex625 have it and it look like my notebook

    tnx!

    I cant really give advice on this as I havent tried anything like it myself but i have a MSI gx620-001US w/the 9600m gt ddr3 512mb

    so it may be possible since they already make models with this installed (obviously) but I'd suggest a bit more research beforehand

    Its really a waste of money to upgrade to a another low end gpu just sell the laptop and put the money from a gpu upgrade into a new laptop. A new gpu would cost 100$ minimum.

    3650 is not a great upgrade... ebay is the best place to look for an upgrade but you have to be careful from who you buy.... look for a 9600M GT GDDR3 at least... ppl here can recommend you where to buy from... search the forum for a thread for something like MXM thread... it shows where u can buy cards from etc...

    Looks like your not getting the point...upgrading it would cost more than getting another laptop thats more powerful and seeing as how you don't even know how to do the upgrade which could require heatsink modifications, its probably not in your ability to even do it.

    @finish
    I Upgraded my ex620x with a nvidia mxm 9600 gt 512ddr3 and it works great.My w7 64 bit would not recognize at first but i downloaded the last drivers and inf at laptopvideo2go.com and it worked great. The 9600gt is a fast card. I could play the last remnant game with an average of 30 frames at 1386 resolution which is very good. Greetings out of the netherlands. Henk.

    The 3870 I am 99% sure will not fit in an EX620, GX620 yes. The 3870 is to long for the EX laptops.

    A 9600gt is better than the hd3650, but the hd 3650 is not a bad option at all.

    I would go with the 9600m GT, MexicanSnake has a good price on one over in the Market Place. The 9600m GT is an excellent overclocker also. The 9600m GT has the GDDR3 memory so it will be the fastest in its class over the DDR2 model.

    9600M GT is a great card indeed if u have GDDR3... u can max out MW2.... at 1280X800...

    Was it really necessary to make another thread for this....? Use your brain and ask him to put it on ebay.
