I'm from Malaysia. The only place I know of in SEA with the 725 is Singapore. They have a quad core version with the 1600 x 1050 screen. Corbell sells them. Google gt725 singapore corbell, or something like that to find a link to another forum with details.
    Hope this helps.

The msi gx623 is supposedly going to be released soon in Malaysia. I'm getting that one. :D

the Msi websites have them listed.
But basically it's a mid range 15'' gaming laptop with 512mb ATI 4670, the other specs 'should' be around what the 627 is like.
I am still waiting on specific details to surface, like CPUs, RAM, and screen res.

You're right.. the website is quite useless in trying to find resellers.
I had to physically go hunting in the city till I was lucky enough to find a single and only shop selling MSI notebooks.

The guy there told me that they were bringing in the 623s. No 725s or 627s, as there was no demand, and a min of 5 pieces needed for order.

The only one in Singapore I know of through forums is Corbell, but no gx623. They do have the gx400, gt627, and gt725.

If I could've gotten my hands on a 725, I would. But since the best I can get with an ATI vid card is the 623, I'm going for that.

EDIT: Search in hardwarezone dot com dot sg forums

There's a thread regarding the availability of the 725 by corbell

If I were you, I'd head to the nearest Johnny Air Cargo office and setup a forwarding account with them :)

    For those in the Philippines.

    1. Setup a forwarding account with Johnny Air ( http://www.johnnyair.com) it's awkward if you do it through email, I'd suggest going to one of their mall branches.
    2. Get their office address in the US.
    3. Choose your favorite reseller. (preferably one that will check your unit before shipping out for DOA/dead pixels)
    4. Have your order shipped to Your Name c/o Johnny Air (insert US address)
    5. Wait 1 week
    6. Enjoy!

    Notes:
I do this all the time with my BH Photo purchases and Amazon purchases. They charge by volumetric weight. Last time I ordered a lens from Amazon, it was around 8lbs, I paid around 900 pesos for the shipping I think... I forget, but it was hella cheaper than UPS/Fedex/DHL

thanks man but wont they charge you for duties and taxes too especially for a product like a notebook
i actually inquired about this last year and the guy in megamall said that duties will be applied for laptops.
    could he be wrong?

    got a Nikkor 70-200 ($1600) and a Nikkor 85 1.4 ($900) from BHphoto... no taxes or duties.
A friend also got a kindle and a laptop off amazon, no duties.
