no overclocking or anything.. this sucks.. just a mosh of random mess all over the screen swapped the card into another 1651 and same result the good card went into the 1651 with the bad one and all was fine so its for sure the gpu..

it's a 9600m gt, right? Wow, died even without oc.... Oh well, if it's going to die might as well OC the hell out of it and get the best from it :)

Are you going to try and "bake" it in the oven?

okay its a bit strange... bios screen looks normal, windows vista welcome screen looks normal... my backround looks normal.. if i open anything though like perfectdisk or try to change the backround the whole screen turns pink/green pixelated. and than if i change the backrounds around a bit to a few different ones it will be normal again till i open another window or do anything like try to open perfectdisk or re-enable aero..

anyone seen something like this before??

i tried swapping the cpu, ram, reapplying thermal to both cpu and gpu, made sure the thermal pads were seated properly on the gpu ram, made sure the cable to the lcd was tight... etc.... if i swap the bad gpu with my other machine i have the same issue with that one.. so i know it must be the gpu...

well if i could somehow fine a ati card id dump the crap nvidia one arghhh i needed this one for a business trip i was taking... the wife uses the other 1651 so i cant take that one... this sucks
