laptop lid badge

As mentioned before, I'm looking for a badge that will fit the lid of my MS-1036. I can't find one anywhere and the reseller doesn't have any either. Please help, since my badge slot didn't come with a cover i'm afraid I'll damage the LCD and get dirt in the opening.

Have you tried writing directly to MSI to see if they can send you one?

 

i think they had the past week off because of (chinese) new years. i'll try them early next week and home that they have one. i've been looking to having something made but have ran into two problems:

• i'm not sure any of the "case badge" makers i've found will be a ble to make a sturdy yet translucent label
• i'm pretty sure i will have to order in bulk, at least 100 of them

on the upside it would be pretty sweet to have some custom badges with my own logo

I think you guys should hold out for a couple more weeks. There should be some news on this front at that time.

decent custom badges will run you a minimum of $300-500 for 100 badges plus setup fee.

 

I was thinking I would draw something up on the computer, size it to the opening, and print on an overhead transarency. (free as a "goverment job" for me.)

 

if it were me I would get some plexiglass paint one side something (probably blue) dremel it to size and pop it in there. Then you would get a glowing blue block instead of a hole. But I don't own a msi (yet).
