    i bought a 1013 or s270, whatever you want to call it, in Feb, and recently have come across this problem. wondering if anyone else has as some people how have bought the Averatec rebadge of this lappy have had the problem too and i am trying to figure out how widespread this problem is...

    No, that's a new one, haven't run across this issue. We've done a ton of these machines, and haven't seen any problems like those described in your thread on the other forum.

    To answer your other questions, MSI doesn't use your RAM/CPU/HD to test anyway, so don't worry about them.

    It did sound like a keyboard-to-mobo connection issue, but a repeat of that same problem on two completely different systems would be doubtful. I doubt it's the keyboard itself.

    You need to get it in to your reseller or to MSI for them to check out.
