just tried the 9cell compal battery i have

i had a brand new compal battery model batel80l9 9 cell and it works flawless in the msi. snaps in and lock and fits perfect looks stock also. these can be found on ebay for around 59$ for anyone looking. i was happy because i had 2 brand new ones sitting here. so me and the wife have 9 cell's now and spare 6 cell's

can you give an est on how much longer it lasts under "normal" use...

 

have not done a full cycle yet with it but ill know tomm. im guessing at least another hour or more on the 9cell.

 

does it stick out much from the laptop? i am thinking about getting one of these =)

usually generic batteries are safe and fine to use.... but only time will tell...

hell now adays sony, dell, and apple batteries cause fires... so go figure =)

 

its fine the battery i am using is a oem compal battery just so happens msi uses the same style. the ones i linked to are oem versions

 

Which seller did you get if from? I got mine from another seller but it's a dud.
That battery is also used in some Asus, it's not really a specific model to Compal.

 

i got mine a while back but never had a chance to use them. the guy i bought from isnt on ebay any more. i know someone who bought from the second seller i posted and theirs works fine. i know its not specific to compal but that is the most common system for that model battery and mine said compal on it lol..
