obviously, it's quality sample. will ms-1651 barebone support it?
also will this barebone take ddr2 800mhz memory?

I'm sure the recent BIOS update supports this processor. Yes, it can use DDR2-800 RAM.

electrosoft tried booting his computer that came with a older bios and it wouldn't boot. He had to update his bios using a older t9400 cpu. I only used a p8400, so I'm not sure if the newer cpu's will work or not.

actually, that's what i was thinking too. if it doesn't boot without updating bio, then that's a problem as many stores don't give money back on cpu(means i can't even buy and return).

vince, dont worry. Your T9400 will be fine, electrosoft needed the updated BIOS for a quad mobile and therefore used a T9400 which was recognised.

shin777 do you know a kind soul who has an older 45nm cpu he could lend for an hour to update your BIOS if it doesnt recognise your P9600
