    Just wondering if anyone could confirm whether or not the laptops from ibuypower.com are MSI barebone systems.

    Has anyone purchased from them? if so what was your experience like.

    I bought from them and did not have a good time with them. I would advise you looked else where. Preferably from one of the vendors here. Such as GentechPC or even Xoticpc.

    I think what he is asking is if they are based off the barebone machine or retail machine (which has the lights and other touch buttons).

    The barebones machines also have the touch buttons. I am running an MS1656 Whitebook (same as a GX640).

    In this case they don't, at least not the turbo button and such.

    1656 != 16F2

    You said the barebones machines have touch buttons.

    I own the 16F2 and it has no touch buttons, it just has two regular buttons.

    So you were equating the two when they are different.
