The i7 wont work with the older 1722 GX720. They only work with the GT740 or GT640.

The new Marketing model is the MSI GT640 (15") or the GT740 (17").
The new MSI product model for the GT 640 version is the MS-1656 and for the GT 740 MS-1727.
So The new Intel Core i7 isn't compatible with the older MS-1651 and the MS-1722 which is used in more then one model for both versions.
