i know desktop sandy bridge chipset are potentially defected cause of cougar point but what about laptop sandy bridge? i bought gt680 for $1100 but i am a bit worried about its chipset. should i be worried because of this? i know i can always send it back for replacement but that would mean i lose weeks of down time with no laptop. although considering i get free replacement when it becomes available, i've got really good deal on this. free replacement on chipset = new motherboard = getting new laptop. btw, i've got it from newegg open box deal today.

Check out the form for problems with the Sandy Bridge i7's. If your covered if something goes wrong then I wouldn't worry. There's people talking about the problems with the Sandy Bridge chips in laptops along with desktops. Alot of computer makers are not using the ports that are affected by this problem till Intel can fix it.
