help. looking bios and EC firmware for Msi whitebook Ms-16F4 (similar msi gt60)

Hello everybody. on my laptop after the video card burnt out, the touch hot-start buttons and keyboard backlighting resumed working. reinstalling windows and drivers did not work.
can anyone have an updated BIOS and an ec for this laptop. can someone know what the problem is ?.

my current bios is E16F4IG6.517
EC Firmware is 16F4EG62 ver 7.15

can i flash a bios from MSI GT60 ?

 

You can't flash a MSI-branded BIOS since the PCB isn't the same.
Latest BIOS: E16F4IG6.51D (yours is outdated)
Latest EC: 16F4EG62 ver 7.15 (yours is up-to-date)

Are you sure you cannot flash MSI bios to a whitebook? I'm pretty sure you can as I've already done it several times (Medion erazers X78xx or X68xx were MSI GT60/70 wb).
Although you do not want to flash EC firmware as the touchbar is not the same as the genuine MSI one.

 

Original bios is 3 mb size, gt60 have 8 mb size. Why? I dont know... I scared flashing without saving original bios and firmware. Where download original bios i dont know...

 

BIOS sent, it's a 8MB file.

 

Thanks. But in aida 64 report bios file size 3mb, and universal bios backup utility save rom file 3mb size, and i open it in amibcp.

Medion notebooks are MSI whitebooks. You can install BIOS and EC controller from them directly. You'll only end up with a medion splash screen on bootup.

 

Just make sure you have the same touch bar as the medion one if you flash the medion EC controller firmware.

No you shouldn't. But Medion also didi some 15'' erazer. It's the X68xx series. I think the haswell model was X6825 or something....

 

Medion did not release 15-inch laptops on the Haswell, 6825 is ivy bridge. next generation is 17 inch laptops on haswell.

 

You're absolutely right! My bad... They did release haswell GT70 whitebook, but 17inch only.

 

Anybody have EC Firmware for this laptop?
