Can someone help, I am a hardware newbie. I have a ms-1223/pr201. I got it barebones and installed
CPU= sp9400
wireless card= intel 5300
Hard Drive = travelstar 320gb 7200rpm
kingston ram = 4gb 800mhz
Everything is fine powers up reading hard drive, part way through the installation of Vista Ultimate, I get a blue screen. it says if remove new hardware which is insane since I just installed cpu hard drive and ram. I did not have the driver disc. so I tried to upload each driver found on msi site manually during install with thumbdrive when Vista ask, unsuccessfully. does anyone have a solution pr know what the problem is. is it the driver disc. I love the computer and get no help from msi since it was barebones. and I bought it new from EBAY.

Can you install Vista without actually using any drivers for the hardware? I would get the OS installed first before trying to install any drivers because if you are using Vista and not SP1 vista, you might get some driver issues since they changed a few things.

I just loaded it the first time and got a restart message, since I am not experienced at these things i assumed it was not recognizing some hardware. thats why I tried to upload the drivers. I am also worried that the driver utility disc that I dont have has something to do with this thing.
help please ms-1223 vista install BLUE SCREEN
