    1. Using a small Phillips screwdriver.
    2. You can check prices on ebay or NBR Marketplace.
    3. If You have, and know how to use, a small Phillips screwdriver, then the answer is yes.

    Sandy bridge won't will.

The higher end i7 like 920xm may need a more powerful adapter.

The i7-620m thur the i7-940xm will swap in that MB. As said you may need a bigger power brick for the 940xm. You will need a small Phillips screwdriver, to remove the back cover, then the fan and heat sink for the CPU. You need some alcohol, the higher the percent the better, some q tips and coffee filters to clean off the old thermal past off the old chip and heat sink. And a tube of thermal paste. IC7 is a pretty good one. You can get on Youtube and watch someone changing out a cpu. Just follow there steps and get on here with questions and pics if you rub into a problem. Ebay or any computer store you can buy a i7. But the better the processor the more money its going to cost. Rule of thumb for you to think of. Do you run programs that require you to have a Quad core CPU? Something to think about before buying. The i7-640m is still a dual core with a nice clock speed if your wanting just a faster processor.
