Is the 5870m a standard MXM type, so that i may be able to update it in the future. I wanted to get he G53 later on, but i like the design and price of this one more.

The card uses MXM 3.0b slot so you can change it with any other using the same slot. Enjoy.

You might need a different heatsink, though.

And, man, I thought I was the only one conflicted with the GX660R/G53 decision, haha

Or you might need to cut/mod the stock heatsink.

Not at all. I'm between the two myself, but waiting for the release of the G53, the specs of the 460M, and whether or not the problems that have plagued the G73 are mostly resolved.

The aesthetics on both units are nice though. D11 capable. Luckily I can wait until November-ish to make my decision.

(Just gotta suffer with this netbook until then. Well suffer isn't the right word, it's a nice netbook. You know what I mean.)

Well, the specs and some benches of the 460m are already out. It's weaker than HD5870 in DX9 and DX10 and on par or a bit better on DX11.

A point to consider is that this MSI GX660 allows for serious overclocking of the GPU and maintain decent temps.

Just as the G53 will most probably be silent, but won't allow much overclocking.
