Finally bought the i7 720QM ($130US!!!!, OEM as well). So im just wondering if the stock 120w could handle it with my gpu OC of 750/1000 @ 1.0v. Would I need to buy a 150w adapter?

I think with this overclock and under normal conditions the stock power supply should be able to handle the load but just barely. However you might run into trouble with games that are both graphics- and CPU-heavy.
I also recently upgraded to an i7 - the 820QM - and I hooked up the laptop to a Kill-a-Watt type of device to monitor the power draw. I haven't benchmarked the CPU yet since I'm not quite happy with the temps and will reapply the thermal paste before doing that but I have run FurMark. With the GPU overclocked to 750/1050 and the CPU lightly loaded the laptop was drawing ~130 W (132 if my memory serves me right) from the wall. Now granted, the kill-a-watt is not 100% accurate and the PSU is not 100% efficient but it's still clear that it was operating very close to its rated 120 W power. Since the CPU wasn't running full throttle I think it's safe to assume that it wasn't drawing much more power than a 720QM would in a similar situation...
So while the stock power supply should be good enough for regular use it probably won't be enough if you run the GPU overclocked with both it and the CPU heavily loaded. -
