    gx630 reads 1ghz??

    but in vista is says 2ghz... and one time i caught it in xp saying 2ghz but that was once... i have no clue why its doing this

    i have all the MS updates, all updates from MSI and the AMD drivers

    Check to make sure that your power settings which is located on the lower right like a battry or plug icon, is using HIGH PERFORMANCE mode and not power saving, etc. Please let us know if this helps. God Bless :)

    AMD uses PowerNow technology (similar to Intel's SpeedStep), it's more effective than Intel's. CPU reduces it's clock rate and voltage when there is no heavy aplications runnig in order to safe energy and to stay cold. It's normal, don't worry about it.
